Good headset
I’ve had bad luck in the past trying to find headsets that work well enough to not give away or toss. Usually people say my voice is not clear, low in volume and/or that there is a bad hum or static. My latest gamble was with a Plantronics MX250. I received it today and promptly tested it on both ends of all my phones. I finally found a good headset. It works on a Motorola V180, LG-CG225 and even on my Uniden TRU-6495 home phone. It’s comfortable to wear and has good sound quality. On the other end it sounds just as good as the phones without the headset.
Update (5/19/2012): This item is currently on sale here for the lowest price I’ve seen. I also found some auctions for this item here.

Headset that fits and works
I have had numerous problems with Bluetooth headsets not being sufficiently load and clear enough for me to use effectively in the car. Even with the windows closed, all that I have tried came up short. I decided to go old school on the technology and try a wired headset. The unit was everything I expected. It was louder and clearer than any other headset I had previously owned. The mounting gizmo that fits around the bottom of your ear was very comfortable and easy to fit on and off. To top it all off, I paid a fraction of the cost of a Bluetooth unit.
Yes, the wire is a little inconvenient. It is a small sacrifice to hear and be heard.

MX250 Very good
I have many head sets both Blue tooth and hard wired and have found this one to be the best. Used mainly on my cell phone and have been told that this is the clearest of any that I have. I have noticed that deep male voices are clearest and not booming or rumbling as with other units. Only negative found was in the outside wind. It sometimes developed a whistling sound. Most happy with the overall sound, operation and comfort.
