Don’t buy this camera
I bought this camera because I had 2 other Olympus digital cameras that I was pleased with. As with the other reviewer, not one of the photos that I took was sharp and clear. I sent it back to Olympus and they also told me that the photos it took was expected for this model. I was shocked and disappointed. A $200 camera should take clear photos.
Update (5/19/2012): This item is currently on sale here for the lowest price I’ve seen.

My cell phone works better
Anybody who pays more than $25 for this camera is in for some disappointment. My co-worker received it as a wedding gift from a relative who worked for Olympus, and now we are wondering if it was a slap in the face. The camera itself looks like it would work, and get a fairly clear photo, but looks are deceiving. If you attempt to photograph anything further than 3 feet, even in a well lit room, you are going to get a blurry, low dynamic range, cave-like image that will be useless. Trust your memories to something worthwhile, and a camera that actually works like a camera should. Like the title says, my cell phone takes better photos. Why am I writing a review about a camera my friend received as a gift? I saw the price this piece of junk was being sold for, I am a professional photographer, and I want to keep consumers from spending $170+ on ANYTHING that will just disappoint in the end. Check out Canon cameras if you want something trust-worthy.
